ESS & MAX IV. If you are not ready or not sure what you are looking for start here.
NanoMAX takes full advantage of the exceptionally low emittance, and the use of diffraction-limited optics allows producing tightly focused coherent X-ray beams enabling imaging applications at unparalleled resolution. NanoMAX offers several techniques: X-ray fluorescence imaging in 2D, X-ray phase and absorption contrast imaging, forward ptychography and nano-diffraction methods. X-ray fluorescence imaging has become highly popular at NanoMAX to image elemental content and distribution with sub-cellular resolution of various systems, for example brain tissue in connection with Alzeimer’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis and surgery research, and diabetes research on pancreatic islets. The instrument can provide detailed concentration maps of elements such as phosphorus and upwards in the periodic table with a resolution down to 50 nm.
