Accelerated Muscle Biotechnologies
Description
Accelerated Muscle Biotechnologies (AMB) strives to provide access and support to small-angle X-ray diffraction experiments for muscle scientists around the world. At our core, we’re a team of career research scientists in skeletal and cardiac muscle mechanics and exercise physiology with offices in Boston (USA) and Hamburg (Germany). We recognize the value of X-ray diffraction technologies and our mission is to accelerate its integration into academic, biotech, and healthcare markets.
Offer / Action
AMB provides comprehensive services for muscle X-ray diffraction experiments which include:
X-ray diffraction scientists available for consultation, experimental support, or complete project management.
Our team of muscle and X-ray diffraction scientists is ready to jump in and assist or completely manage all stages of muscle diffraction experiments. This includes both direct diffraction data acquisition as well as supplemental experiments as requested, i.e. gels or mechanical force-length set ups.
Facilitating synchrotron access for academics and industry projects
We are proficient in and can help navigate the often cumbersome technical, scientific, and regulatory requirements of access protocols at synchrotron facilities. These include but are not limited to the German Electron Synchrotron (DESY, Germany), Advanced Photon Source (APS, USA), European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF, France), MAX IV (Sweden), Brookhaven National Labs (BNL, USA), and SPring-8 (Japan).
Tailored made experimental design and preparation
- Initial project objective refinement and experimental design strategy and feasibility
- Determination and preparation of necessary wet lab equipment
- Design, fabrication, and installation of muscle and X-ray systems to optimize data acquisition and quality.
Customized data analysis and interpretation
High-throughput processing and statistical analysis of diffraction or mechanical testing data acquired either by us or others using semi-automated in-house code base.
Commitment to trainees
AMB is committed to training the next generation of scientists from diverse backgrounds, especially since there is a shortage of qualified X-ray scientists worldwide. Therefore, AMB will help train students / trainees in X-ray theory, practical application during experimental collection, and analysis/interpretation as time permits.
