MAX IV
The synchrotron light source MAX IV in Lund is the largest ever investment in national research infrastructure in Sweden. MAX IV provides users with the most brilliant X-rays for research. National and international researchers from both industry and academia use the Swedish-based laboratory to conduct advanced experiments in materials and life sciences.
The X-ray light is used for research at several experimental stations called beamlines. The beamlines can all be operated simultaneously and around the clock. At present 16 financed beamlines are either in operation or under construction at MAX IV.
MAX IV is dedicated to work in close collaboration with industry. There are several ways industry can access and make use of the capabilities at MAX IV either:
Engaging in mutual research projects with MAX IV directly or associated research partners
Investing in uniquely tailored research tools to fit your specific need
Buying beamtime with proprietary access (as opposed to public and open access)
